John “Jay” Poggioli, age 66, of Whiting, Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away Friday, September 22 ,2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, a lifetime resident of Northern New Jersey and recently moved to the Jersey Shore area.
Jay was a Union Plumber at the University of Medicine and Dentistry for 22 years. Predeceased by his brother Bruce Brown.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Gray), three step daughters Danielle Jeffery and her significant other David Hopkins of Toms River, Dawn Johnson of VA and Christine Gabriel and her husband Paul of Hazlet, NJ, two step grandchildren John and Krystal Jeffrey, his three sisters: Patricia Dougherty and her children Kim Peduto and her husband Michael, Nicole William and Shaun Dougherty, Shelia Clarke and her children Raymond, Tracey and Jamie Clarke and Gina Ebersol, Rita Fitzgerald and her children Ronald Dundas and Mary Fitzgerald, and Beverly Decker and her children Dawn Iannacone, Patricia, John and Jason Walsh, his brother Allan Brown and his son Allan Brown Jr. and also his brother Bruce’s daughter Jessica Brown.
