John “Jake” Harry Jacobs, 79, husband of Alice (DeMars) Jacobs, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2009 at Bristol Hospital.
John was born on May 7, 1929 in Bristol a son of the late John and Mary (Frader) Jacobs.
Mr. Jacobs was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a carpenter by trade.
In addition to his wife of Bristol, he is survived by his three children and their spouses, Deborah and Louis McCann of Winsted, John Joseph and Carole Jacobs of Plantsville and Joseph John and Melissa of Bristol; his sister, Elsie Piasecki of Bristol; his grandchildren David, Dawn, Rhiannon, Ian and Jake and his great-grandchildren, Shawna, Brandon, Sarah, David and Daniel and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his four brothers, Bob, Alfred, Art and Bill Jacobs and his sister Cynthia Caron.
