John “Jack” Richard Ensminger Sr., 92, of Cape Canaveral, Florida passed away Saturday, August 6 peacefully in his sleep at his granddaughter’s home in Orlando. He was the husband for 63 years of his adored late wife, Katherine “Kae” Heywood Ensminger, who passed away January of 2007. Born August 15, 1923 in Marysville, Pennsylvania, he was the only child of George Alfred and Sarah Jane Aikens Ensminger. He was preceded in death by infant son, William Craig Ensminger in 1945 and daughter Linda Kae Ensminger Rozzelle in August 2007.
Jack and Kae moved from Silver Spring, Maryland to Florida in 1996.
Jack’s career with AT&T spanned 40 years from 1941 to 1981. Prior to his retirement, he worked in Sales and Marketing serving various Air Force command accounts.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Technician during World War II. He also served in the USAF in Seoul, Korea as a Communications Officer. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his mission in charge of all 5th AF Long Lines Communications.
