John S. “Jack” Moore, 84, of Lostant, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. Mr. Moore was born April 10, 1935 in Streator to William and Charlotte (Lawless) Moore. He married Marjorie A. Schmitt on April 28, 1956 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Leonore. He was a supervisor at Owens Illinois Glass in Streator for 38 years.
He enjoyed playing golf and gardening.He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; four children, Richard (Rhonda) Moore of Ottawa, William (Judy) Moore of Peru, Lynn (Doug) Rose of Oglesby and Bonnie (Paul) Smith of Lakeville, MN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister, DeAnn (Larry) Whiteaker of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Phyllis Heider and three brothers, Donald, Robert and Raymond Moore.
