John K. “Jack” Diver, 66, of Elkhart, passed away after an extended illness at 1:37 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in his home with his family at his side.

He was born in Tecumseh, Mich., to the late B. “Pard” and Lillian (Lavoy) Diver.

On June 21, 1968, he married Rosemary “Rose” Dentico in Toledo, Ohio. She survives at home after spending 44 wonderful years with her husband.

Also surviving are his sons, Ty (Hannah) and Brent (Lori) Diver, and his daughter, Amy (Jwan) Allen, all of Elkhart; sisters Joan Allen of Toledo and Marcia Diver of Honolulu; brother Keith (Joan) Diver of Deerfield, Mich.; sister-in-laws Ce-Ce (Pete) Pietras of Maumee, Ohio, and Josephine Dentico of Wyandotte, Mich.; brother-in-law Russ (Diana) Dentico of Grossile, Mich.; and grandchildren Antwaan Allen and Jaylen, Jasmine, Megan, and Jakob Diver.

Jack was the founder and president of several area companies over the years, including Diversified Fasteners of Bristol (now of Elkhart), Hideout Blinds of Elkhart, and McDiver Corporation of Elkhart, an RV and automotive supply company which he had managed for the past 17 years.

He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and long drives in the country, as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren.
