John J. “Jack” Jenkins of Hainesport, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday at the age of 62. Jack was born in Camden and was a longtime Edgewater Park resident before moving to Hainesport.

He was a dedicated member for over 40 years to Hope Hose Fire Company No. 2, where he also served as Vice President. Jack was close with his family, loved his wife and children and especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.

He was the owner and operator of Jenkins Electric in Edgewater Park Since 1978. He also managed the Jenkins Building in Edgewater Park. Jack was predeceased by his parents Harry and June (Kelly), his sister June F. Dallmann and step-daughter Jennifer Van Derryt.

He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Abrams); daughter Coleen (Marty) Hobaugh, son J.J. (Kayle); step-son Scott (Lauren) Van Derryt, grandchildren; Richie, Dayla, Jackson, Jamee, June, Wyatt and Declan, siblings; Nancy (Pat) Richards, Harry (Lynn), Michaelle D’Anna (Ed), Bill Jenkins; brother-in-law Ronald and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.
