John “Jack” G. Downes, IV, age 36, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was the devoted husband of Michelle C. (Mazzilli) Downes. He was the loving father of Nicholas and Samantha Downes. Jack is also survived by his sister Megan Boss and her husband Jesse of Plymouth, his brother Michael Downes of Plymouth, his mother in law Dolores Mazzilli, his fishing family of the “Rachael Leah”, and many friends. Born in Middletown NY on April 7, 1982, son of John “Jack” Downes III of Medford, and Marilyn (Lang) Downes of Plymouth. Jack was a graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea, and went on to make his career as an offshore lobsterman. He was a great hockey player, and loved his family with all of his heart. Jack will be sorely missed by his best friend, his beagle Otis. He was a friend of Bill W.
