FalkensteinJohn R. Falkenstein, age 87, of Broomall, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Bryn Mawr Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry J and Dorothy (Smith) Falkenstein. Jack attended Saint Leonard’s Academy and graduated from Edward W. Bok Technical High School. He served his country honorably in the U. S. began his career in grocery retail at ACME Markets before becoming a successful broker with Walter Sions, Fitzwater, and Joseph W. Riley Co. until retiring in 1999. Jack coached youth baseball with the 69th Street A.A. He served as an officer for the UDHS Choral Parents Association and Clifton Heights Swim Club. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Havertown. Jack was a gifted storyteller and master of embellishment weaving the lines between fact and fiction into a memorable experience. Beloved husband of Frances (Gangemi) for 62 years. Survived by his cherished sons Robert and his wife Susan of Whitehall, and Michael and his wife Colleen of Secane; his adoring grandchildren Aaron and Emily.
