It is with deep sorrow we inform you that John E. “Jack” Simms, 81, passed away peacefully in his home in Park Ridge on Sunday, July 31,2022. Loving husband of Diana Simms for 57 years; devoted father of Kyle (Rebecca) Simms, Jennifer Stanisic and Sheila Simms; beloved grandfather of Madeline, Andrea, Elaina and Tyler Simms, and William and James Stanisic.
Jack grew up in West Chicago. He attended West Chicago Community High School and then graduated from Wheaton College in 1964.
Jack was an avid angler, and spent many hours with friends looking to land “a keeper”, and always made time to “cast a few” with his grandchildren.
