John (J.T.) Timberlake Scott, 27, of Baton Rouge, LA passed away suddenly on October 20,
2021. This loss was completely unexpected, leaving family and friends shocked and deeply
saddened. We will forever cherish the time we were blessed to have John with us.
John was born May 16th, 1994 in Fort Walton Beach, FL the son of John and Judy Scott. He
grew up in Crestview, FL but at 18 years old he decided he wanted to live in a big city. John
moved to Baton Rouge, LA where he worked different jobs. His most current job was that of a
chimney sweep, but he was also a welder, electrician, landscaper and tree trimmer. He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, going to the beach, jet skiing, golfing, and hanging out with family and friends.
John was a loving and dedicated father to his son, Wyatt. Wyatt was the center of his life and
meant more to him than anything in this world, something he proudly and often mentioned.
John was a loving son, brother and uncle that loved to tease and pick on those around him. His
love and compassion for everyone impacted the lives of all those he met.
John is survived by his son, Wyatt Timberlake Scott of Mandeville, LA, mother, Judy Scott of
Crestview, FL, maternal grandmother, Clara Mae Snellgrove of Laurel Hill, FL, paternal
grandfather, Walter Scott of Humboldt, TN, sisters, Keisha Cadenhead and Crystal Barnes of
Crestview, FL, Sharlee Scott and brother-in-law, Michael Salazar of Plainview, TX, 16 nieces
and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his father, John William Scott, paternal grandmother, Jo Ann
Scott, maternal grandfather, Coley Joseph Snellgrove, and nephew, Joshua Jared Salazar.
