John I. Baker, Jr. was born in Sterling, Kansas on July 9, 1938 to John Ira Baker and Viola Ellen (Allison) Baker, and passed away in Arvada, Colorado on November 10, 2018 at age 80. John was married to Esther (Austin) Baker on June 9, 1957 in Lyons, Kansas, and had celebrated 61 years of marriage at the time of his passing. He attended college at Emporia State Teacher’s College, Kansas State, and CU Boulder. A design engineer, he worked for Jeppesen & Co., Denver & Coors Porcelain, and then retired after 33 years with A.R. Wilfley & Sons. John was an active community member.
