John Henry Wheeler, of Sierra Vista, died on October 12, 2015 at the age of 76.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 21, 1939. As a young man, he warehoused corn products in New York. In 1972, he followed his parents to Huachuca City. He owned a bar in Huachuca City and played poker before purchasing a locksmith shop in 1982. John was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emily Wheeler; his brother, Robert Wheeler and his daughter, Jodi Mudford. John is survived by his loving sisters: Mary Milligan (and her husband Richard) and Barbara Gallagher; his children: John Wheeler, Joe Wheeler, Anne Ramsey, Barbara Altic, April McLaughlin, Taylor Wheeler, Danielle Boothe and Sharon Richardson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John is known for his poetry.
