Mr. John H. Freeman Sr. was born January 4, 1938 in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Addie Freeman. He departed this life Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Mr. Dan O. Freeman, Sr., Mr. James Odell Freeman, Mr. Sammy Freeman, Sr., and Mr. Willie (Buddy) Freeman, Sr.; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Johnson, Ms. Nancy Freeman Robinson and Mrs. Annie Ruth Freeman.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Monica Garth of Courtland, Shawn Garth of Hillsboro and Jackie Garrett of Madison; four sons, John H. Freeman, Jr of Memphis, TN, Timothy Bolden of Florida, Connie Garth of Hillsboro and Dewayne Garth (Mashica) of Decatur; a special devoted friend, Effie Garth of Courtland; two devoted grandchildren, Monderic and Monderica Garth both of Courtland; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Boykin of Decatur, Mrs. Elizebeth Pickett of Athens, and Mrs. Sally Fuqua (Anthony) of Huntsville; two great aunts, Delsia Williams and Sam Ella Daniels; 22 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
