John H. Berninger Jr., 90, of Quakertown, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown.  Born in Springfield Township, he was the son of the late John and Violet (Musselman) Berninger. 
 
John honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he worked as a medic and an ambulance driver.  After his service, he worked as a carpenter he was a part of the construction of countless buildings all over the east coast, and eventually went into business himself.  
 
In his spare time, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, reading, carpentry, and listening to country-gospel music.  He also selflessly gave his time working as a volunteer for Heaven’s Bounty Food Pantry, Quakertown, PA.

John is survived by Arlene Farbotnik, his partner of over 30 years. Sons Louis, (Cathy) of Breiningsville, Johnnie, Bernard (Christine), Drew, all of Quakertown, and daughter Suzanne, (James) O’Brien of Souderton, Step-daughter, Alida Spry (Stephen), Step-son Devich Farbotnik. Sister Dorothea Rinker, grandchildren Louis Jr., Sylvia, Stephanie, Melissa, Sheri, Shawn, Selena, Jared, Tatiana, Callie,  and 5 great-grandchildren.
