On June 1, 1965 in Tuscumbia, AL, John married the love of his life, Norma E. Deck, who survives. A resident of the DeMotte area for 37 years, John and Norma raised their family. John was a retired electrician from US Steel after 31 years of employment. He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Army. He attend the First Nazarene Church of DeMotte and enjoyed vegetable gardening, music and his grandchildren. John is survived by: Norma E. Hendon, spouse Kent (Jeanne) Hendon, son, Remington, IN John W. Hendon, DeMotte, IN Doug Hendon, Hebron, IN 4-Grandchildren: Isra (Ashley) Hendon, Colton Hendon, Luke Hendon, April Hendon. And, 1-Great-Granddaughter: Nevaeh Hendon.
