John, Jack, Jackie Boy, Dad, Papa, Uncle, Uncle-Dad

John Hemingway Milnes, IV, 47 of Methuen, MA passed away on February 19, 2023, at Holy Family in Methuen, MA after a very long, courageous, and valiant battle.

John was born on February 5, 1976 to Kathleen (Michaud) and John Hemingway Milnes III. He graduated from Greater Lawrence Vocational H.S. in 1994 with a certificate in Auto Body, and excelled on the swim team. He coached soccer for Methuen Youth Soccer and played darts at Rolfs Pub.

He worked for Commonwealth Motors doing bodywork. He loved his time on the Lawrence, MA Auxiliary P.D. and Warehouse Manager at S.G. Packaging.

He loved fishing, hunting, and hiking.

Enjoyed working on computers and playing games like World of Warcraft with his kids. He also enjoyed wood burning to make special things for family and friends, and was always tinkering with a new idea.

He would always give to help anyone even when he had nothing to give, he would find a way to help.

Right hand, partner in crime, the rock you could lean on, hug you needed, shoulder to cry on, kick in the pants. Always making you smile and laugh even when you didn’t want to.

With very heavy hearts, He will be greatly loved and missed by his wife Angela Sanborn-Milnes; parents John & Kathleen Milnes; siblings Melissa (Mike) Ganias, Kathy (David) Michaud, Tracy (Chris) Vasquez; godfather uncle Dennis Michaud; cousin: John Michaud and many other cousins; father in-law Kevin Sanborn, Sr; mother in-law Darlene; brother in-law Kevin Jr.; sisters in-law: Sandra (Jayson) and Priscilla; children John (Samantha) Milnes, Kristen (Marina) Milnes Gordon, Michael (Alexandria) Milnes, Trevor Milnes, Derrick Sanborn, Alexandrea Shields; grandkids Michael, Jazzy and Kara; nieces and nephews Rebecca (Kyle), Ryan (Sarah), Bradley (Brittney), Zachary (Jordan), Hannah (Kevin), Madison, Alicia Courtney, Olivia, Noah, Briana, Jаусе, Tristan, Caleb, Lexi and many great nieces and nephews.
