He was the owner and president of Lehman’s Mechanical Contracting Inc. in Anderson, Indiana, a third-generation commercial heating and air conditioning business that was started by his grandfather, Hayden Lehman. John viewed his employees as family and strived to support and mentor those in his sphere to provide them the opportunity to succeed and grow. He was immensely proud of those he employed and sought the highest quality of workmanship. John believed in cooperation and respect in business dealings with others. John graduated from Anderson College in 1979, where he met his wife, Susann, and attended Eastside Church of God. His college experience and his involvement in church influenced his desire to serve others and show the love of Christ. He tried to compassionately fulfill the needs of the community. After a long day at work, he enjoyed coming home to his wife, daughter, and three furry, four-legged boys. John spent his evenings relaxing on his property, delighting in God’s creation and planning for his future retirement. John is dearly loved and will be immensely missed.
