John Jack Harkins, 73, of Wedron, died May 12, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Jack was born January 15, 1937 in LaSalle to Julian and Geraldine (Waters) Harkins. He married Zoe M. Claude on June 20, 1959 at St. Joseph Church in Wedron. He retired in 1994 from Libby Owens Ford after 39 years of employment. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wedron, Glassworkers Local 19, AARP, and was a volunteer EMT in Spring Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Zoe, two sons, Phillip of Ottawa and Christopher (Lisa) of Chicago, and one brother Mark (Jeannine) Harkins of LaSalle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dan Harkins. Pallbearers will be Phillip, Chris and Mark Harkins, Robert Waters, Steve Caveglia, and Mike Dougherty.
