He passed away at 2:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Nixon, Nev., he was the son of Henry W. and Helen M. Manders Philipson. He was married to Annamae Beckley, who preceded in death in 1986, and later married to Reba Ruth Burns, who preceded in death in 2002.
John had been employed in the parts department at WSE Motors, later Burger Chevrolet.
Surviving are sister, Margaret I. Rashid, Detroit, Mich.; stepdaughter, Mary Crites and her husband, Joe, Logansport; stepdaughter-in-law, Lydia Burns, Kokomo; and several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
