John H. Neeley, 69, of Anderson, passed away on October 11, 2012 at Community Hospital Anderson.

He was born on November 13, 1942 in Muncie, and resided most of his life in Anderson. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Neeley Commercial Refrigeration. He loved auto racing. He raced cars all around the world.

In 1988 he was awarded with the Crew Chief of the Year Award in A.S.A. John is survived by his son, Michael Melinda Neeley; daughter, Julia Brian Enochs; step-sons, Dale Dawn Phillips, Pat Kelli Finley and Trent Whitney Finley; daughter-in-law, Marlene Neeley; sister, Mary Jerry Raby; grandchildren, Kinsey, Maggie, Mason, and Matt Neeley, Dawson and Dalen Phillips, Amanda Scott Hamilton, Railey, Korbin, Dalton, and Alyssa Finley; great-grandchildren, Brycen and Zayden Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Sylvia, Cassidy, R.J., Jerry Jr., and Ricky Raby, and Cindy DuBose. Special Friends, Ross “The Watchdog” Schroeder, Stuart Gray, Sherri Finley, and Karen Phillips.

He was preceded in death by mother, Farro E. Neeley, father, Leland “Red” Neeley, son, John H. Neeley Jr., and his sister, Libby Tucker.
