John H. Greengrove, 96, of Ortley Beach, passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. John was born May 7, 1925 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Thomas and Martha Greengrove. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and trusted friend. He served his country honorably in the US Navy. He loved fishing and was an avid boater. He looked forward to visiting the Florida Keys every winter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Greengrove and Martha Schroeder Greeengrove; wife, Helen Greengrove; sister-in-law, Kay Nalisnik; grandson, John Greengrove; and granddaughter, Kristina Greengrove. John is survived by his son, Thomas Greengrove and his wife Anne of Ortley Beach; daughter, Gail Genovese and her husband Gene of West Caldwell; his grandchildren, Justin Genovese and his wife Jessica, Hillary Genovese, Adam Greengrove, Meaghan Greengrove, Patsy Korker and her husband Michael; and his great grandson John Korker.
