Gula, John Gula, age 82, of Shelton, died January 24, 2005 in Lord Chamberlain. Mr. Gula was born in Johnstown, PA and resided in Shelton since 1961. A retired electrician for Remington Arms, he was a member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 140, Washington Lodge #19 AF and AM in Monroe, CT, the Scottish Rite Lafayette Consistery , the Hamilton Commandry #5, the Pyramid Shrine Temple in Milford, CT the Arab Patrol, the Dupont Remington Pensioners Club of CT, and the VFW Post 10466 of Huntington, CT. Survivors include his beloved wife, Anna Mikulka Gula, two sons, Robert M. Gula of N.Y.C. and John A. Gula of Shelton, one daughter, Joanne Gula of Honolulu, Hawaii, two brothers, Andrew Gula of Dallas, PA and George Gula of Pittston, PA, four sisters, Mary Matushek of Swoyersville, PA Helen Kaskus of Tunchannock, PA Elizabeth Paris of Elgin, IL and Emma Horensky of Wilkes-Barre, PA two grandchildren, Ian Cooper and Gretchen Cooper and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Gula and his sister, Anna Rutski.
