John P. Grisham, 37, of Bloomington, IL, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 9:55 pm, September 2, 2022, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, from injuries sustained in a pedestrian/motorcycle accident.
He was born on December 25, 1984, in Peoria to Patrick and Barbara Carroll Grisham.
Surviving is his mother, Barbara Grisham of Peoria; his father, Patrick (Jane) Grisham of Eureka, IL; two siblings Isaac Grisham of Bolingbrook, IL; and Emily (Anthony) Seckler of Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are two stepbrothers, A.J. Eeten of Peoria and Nicholas (Katie) Eeten and one stepsister, Caty (Jake) Bane both of Eureka. Further surviving is his partner Luke Haslett of Washington, IL.
John was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School. He was active in cross country and the swim team. John had worked in several retail positions. He had worked at Groupon in Chicago, Express, and American Eagle. Most recently, he was employed with Target.
John “Ace,” as his many friends call him, loved being out amongst people. He had a zest for life and loved music, movies, and social media.
