John G. Thomas, age 61, of Hanoverton, died at 10:32 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1953 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Gleason and Mary (Land) Thomas. He graduated from Southern Local High School. John was a machinist at Quaker Manufacturing for many years. He is survived by three cousins, Sam Starkey of Hanoverton, Cindy Pitts of Salem, and Dorene Reynolds of Leetonia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Thomas.
