John G. Kauffman, 92, died August 8, 2012 after a short illness. He was born on March 21, 1920 in Larned, Kansas, the only son of Jacob and Kathrina Kauffman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Beatrice Haug Kauffman Mr. Kauffman is a retired Army Major, having served his country in various capacities for over 20 years. Most recently Mr. Kauffman has been living in Canon City and was active in the Knights of Columbus, Sangre de Cristo Hospice Men’s Bereavement Group, and The Golddiggers Club.
