John G. Fisher, 86, Markleville, died October 28, 2002 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana after an extended illness. He was born July 7, 1916 in Pendleton, Indiana, and resided in Markleville, Indiana. He lived in this area all of his life. He retired from Guide Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a 1934 graduate of Markleville High School.

He served his country in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Markleville North Christian Church, Pendleton American Legion, Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8, Kennard Brotherhood & Sisterhood and the UAW #663. He was an honorary member of the Adams Township Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his Wife of 30 years: Fern Markle Fisher. One Son: Jerry Fisher of Markleville. Two Step-daughters: Joyce & husband Paul Founier of Michigan. Janice & husband Mike Milosouvich of Missouri. One Brother: Frederick & wife Joan Fisher of Markleville. One Sister: Betty Lou Mullins of Anderson. One Grandson: Gary & wife Kathy Fisher of Anderson. Three Great Grandsons: Joshua Fisher, Joseph Fisher and Justus Fisher, all of Anderson. Best Friends: Jim Wilhoite, Gene Jordan and Rex Anderson. He was preceded by his First Wife: Ardura Fisher. Parents: Fred & Christina Ebbert Fisher. One Brother: Cletus Fisher. One Sister: Maxine Milburn. Grandson: Marty Fisher Two Daughters-in-law: Sandra Fisher and Pat Fisher.
