John G. Bouzoucos, 82, of Manhattan, New York died quietly Oct. 10, 2008 in New York City. Born in New Haven Aug. 10, 1926, he was the son of the late George and Alexandra Bouzoucos. He graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1944 and was a member of the varsity football team. He graduated from M.I.T. Class of 1948 after serving in the U.S. Air Force. A developer in Rockland County New York for over 40 years, he built invividual homes and unique town homes in more than six communities. Some of his developments included Mt. Vernon Manor and Georgetown Manor. He was a religious man who attended bible study classes. He enjoyed dancing, astronomy, archeology and gardening. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, A.F & A.M. He is survived by two sisters, Irene Pournaras of Hamden & Eugenia “Nea” Phillips of Stamford; a brother Ted Bouzoucos and wife Patricia of Woodbridge; his good friend, Joan Connors of Rockland County, N.Y.; and six nieces & nephews.
