John Frederick Escobar, 62, of Germany and formerly of California, died Monday, June 3, 2013, in Bangor, ME. He was born November 8, 1950 in Vallejo, CA, son of Matt and Olivia (Friederich) Escobar. He is survived by cousins in the United States and Germany and many friends. Mr. Escobar was a customer service relations assistant at the US Army Hotel in Germany. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served from 1968to 1971. John loved to travel, especially to Ireland, where he had good friends.
