He was born in Geary, Oklahoma on November 29, 1926. John attended the University of Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor’s in Electrical and Physics engineering. He served in the United Staes Navy from February 1945 – August 1946. John had a successful career at Westinghouse, Aerospace Division, where he was awarded many patents in the field of electrical engineering; he also co-authored a book in his field. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, history and traveling.
