SHEA, John “Jack” Francis, 87, of Newington, beloved husband of the late Jean Q. Shea, died Wednesday (August 24, 2022). Born in Hartford, the son of the late Daniel and Bridget (McDonald) Shea, Jack was a Newington resident for over 50 years. He was a Communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Prior to his retirement, he was a Draftsman for ABB Combustion Engineering. He was also a member of BPOE Lodge #19 and the Loyal Order of Moose, Hartford; an avid golfer and UCONN basketball fan. He is survived by his two daughters, Deborah S. Justo and her husband Daniel D. of Glastonbury, and Maureen S. Lawrence and her husband Robert A. Jr. of Wethersfield; his grandchildren, Allison, Thomas, Sean, and Colin; his brother, Bernard Shea of Avon; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Quigley of Farmington and Dolores Shea of Avon; his brother-in-law, Philip Foss of Southington; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Shea; his sisters-in-law Maureen Foss and Frances Shea; and his brother-in-law James Quigley.
