SFC(ret) John Francis O’Brien, Jr., age 77 of Huntsville, passed away Monday at a local hospital. A native of Manchester, NH, he has lived in Huntsville for the past 36 years. He served in the Army for 23 years where he completed a tour during the Vietnam War. Following his retirement from the Army, John worked for SCI until he retired.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth “Betty” O’Brien, of Huntsville; two sons, Kevin O’Brien, and wife, Liz, of Huntsville, and Gary O’Brien, and wife Nichole, of Monrovia; daughter, Colleen Caruso, and husband Vince, of Huntsville; sister, Joan O’Brien, of Manchester, NH; five grandchildren, Riley, Emily, Emma, Daniel, and Brendan; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
