John Francis LeBrun, 81, founding member of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, serving as a teacher, guidance counselor and assistant superintendent, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 9th, 2018.
Born on July 28, 1936 in Boston, he was a son of the late Francis and Grace (Love) LeBrun.
John is predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Ann (Prendergast) and his second wife, Patricia (Farnese).
He is survived by his brother, George LeBrun; his sisters, Virginia “Ginger” Beady and Nancy Lowe; his 5 children; John LeBrun, Jr. of Portland, OR., MaryRuth Reynolds of Milford, Jayne Buteau of Millbury, James LeBrun of Frisco, TX., and Thom LeBrun of Ayer; 4 grandchildren, Josilynn, Ryan, Jacob and Nicole; and many nieces and nephews.
He was an active resident of Upton, where he served as chairman of the Zoning board of Appeals. John was a prolific runner, running in over 20 marathons including the Boston marathon and was a founding member of the Upton Road Runners Club. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
