John F. Worthington, 82, of Middletown, passed away, June 3, 2017 at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN.
He was born, August 13, 1934 in Parksville, KY and resided most of his life in the Anderson area.
John graduated from Bourbon County High School in Paris, KY . He was retired from Delco Remy, division of General Motors after 30 plus years. He was a member of East Side Church of God in Anderson. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved to read, sports and going to the races at the Anderson Speedway.
John is survived by his wife, Bertie Worthington of 62 years of Middletown, IN, 3 sons, John F. (Patty) Worthington II of Russiaville, IN, Lewis (Jennifer) Worthington of Lansing, MI, Jeff Worthington of Middletown, 2 sisters, Sara Nisbet of South Haven, MI, Cordelia Moran of Maysville, KY, 5 grandchildren, Rachel Hamilton, Joshua Worthington, Jennah Worthington, Loryn Worthington, and Caleb Worthington, 2 great-grandchildren, Rosalind Hamilton, and Vincent Hamilton.
John is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Becky Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bettie Worthington, and 11 brothers and sisters.
