John F. Untisz Jr., 89, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Holmdel. John was born on May 25, 1931 in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he grew up. In 1950, John and his wife, Elizabeth, were married and began their lives together. They lived in Jersey City, before settling in Hazlet, New Jersey. Before his retirement, John worked as as Mechanic for Betson Vending in Carlstadt, New Jersey for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, John F. Untisz Sr. and Mary (Primaterra) Untisz and his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Alge) Untisz. John is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth Sysak, John S. Untisz and his wife, Patricia, Stephen J. Untisz and his wife, Mary, Joseph Untisz and his wife, Ginny, and Michael F. Untisz and his wife, Ginnie, his cherished grandchildren, John, Matthew, Mark, Stephen, Angela, Jaclyn, Tamara, and Jude, and 6 adored great grandchildren, with one on the way.
