John F. “Jack” Patterson a longtime resident of Stoughton, United States Marine Corps Veteran and retired Stoughton Firefighter for 34 years, passed away on Monday September 4, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old and the beloved husband of over 57 years to Brenda (Ireland) Patterson. He is also survived by his children John F. “Jack” Patterson Jr. and his wife Diana of Navarre Beach, FL., Paula (Patterson) Wedge and her husband Scott of Stoughton, Michael G. Patterson of Stoughton, and Patricia (Patterson) Simons of Foxboro. Other survivors include his sister and brothers, Laura Tessier and Husband Buzzy of Deland, FL, Bobby Patterson of Bellingham, MA. Wally Patterson and his wife Laurie of Lowell, MA, and Kenny Patterson and wife Lorna of Sharon, MA. He was also a loving brother to the late Nancy Bainton and is survived by his brother in law Keith of New Hampshire.
