John F. Bass, Sr., age 56, of Plymouth, passed away on October 2, 2018 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, succumbing to a long illness. John was born on January 31, 1962, the son of Marion and Vincent Bass Sr., in Boston, MA. His family eventually moved to Carver, and he attended the Plymouth school system. John had taken up several vocations, including being a cook and most recently a painter. John was very artistic, putting pencil to sketch pad whenever possible. He loved reading, music, guitars, and his mothers artistic attributes . An avid follower of several rock bands including the likes of Aerosmith & the Rolling Stones. John was a very independent individual and lived life on his own terms, but still held a deep love and connection for his family. John was pre-deceased by his Mother, the late Marion C. (Schenck) Bass. He leaves behind his father, Vincent Bass, Sr. and his wife Irene of Florida, his son, John Bass Jr. and his wife Michelle of Plymouth, his daughter, Chelsea Bass of New Hampshire. Brothers and sisters, Cheryl Scibisz and her husband Dan of Ipswich, Vincent Bass, Jr. of Kingston, Rosemarie Pinheiro and her husband David of Norton, Brian Bass and his wife Michele of Plymouth and Heather Blalack and her husband Sam of Maine . He also leaves his aunt and godmother, Joanne DeLuca of Holbrook and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
