John Edwin Westbrook, 71, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Oakley, Kansas on December 21, 1948. John spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He served our country in the United States Navy and retired after 20 years of service. John was united in marriage to Joan Holt on August 16, 2008 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his wife, and going to church. John was especially proud of his grandsons who joined the Navy. He had a special place in his heart for all service men and prayed for them daily. John was a member of Zion Freewill Baptist Church and attending services at Oxford Baptist Church regularly.
John is survived by his wife, Joan Westbrook of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sons, Wayne Westbrook of Merrill, Wisconsin, Rick Blair of Fort Worth, Texas and Bradley Blair and family of Oxford, Arkansas; daughter, Shelly Townson and family of Spencer, Indiana; grandchild, Tallison Westbrook of Merrill, Wisconsin and nieces, nephews and cousins in Oakley, Kansas and Nashville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one uncle.
