John Edward Naretta, 61, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte.
John was born May 21, 1961 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Edward Naretta and the late Mary Margaret Naretta.
He was also preceded in death by Edward Narettta, ( father), Mary Margaret Naretta (mother).
John graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park FL. He began his career with Ivy’s Department Store as a buyer and transitioned to retail management for Belk’s Department store and joined Kohl’s Department Store where he spent 27 years with them until he retired in 2022. He was a lover of Music, Performing Arts and Animals. His warm heart was felt by everyone he came into contact with.
Survivors include husband, Michael Smith of Charlotte, NC., Sister, Jacqueline Godaire of Naples Fl, Brother Michael Naretta of Naples FL. and best friend and partner in crime Irv Koehler of Palm Beach Gardens FL.
