On January 21, 2007, John E. Hartlove Sr. passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband for 40 years to Pamela E. Hartlove; Devoted father of Pamela Sickinger, John Hartlove Jr., Bradley Hartlove and Catherine Hartlove; Loving brother of Woodrow Hartlove Jr., June Neary, Nancy Jenkins and the late Cleo Hartlove-Show; Cherished grandfather of five. John graduated from Glen Burnie High School. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy an attended MRA School while enlisted. He was proud to have served on the USS Francis Marion. John was the owner of J.E. Hartlove & Sons Auto Repair. He belonged to the American Legion Post 278. John enjoyed boating, crabbing, watching wrestling, Navy ships and had an interest in history.
