John Edward “Eddie” Gordon, 65 of Grafton, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Knottsville, March 22, 1950, a son of the late John J. and Mary J. Litzinger Gordon.
Eddie retired from Mt. Carmel Cemetery as their caretaker. He loved WVU football, basketball, NASCAR races and loved being with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Littlefield and husband Jerry, Houston, TX, Beverly Orner and husband Jim, Shippensburg, PA; four grandchildren, Amanda Nelson, Ruth Clark, Bethany Clark, and Alisandra Orner; two great grandchildren, Keegan Nelson, Rhett Nelson; one sister, Linda Rager and husband Dave, Grafton; Fiancé, Mary Shipp, Grafton; three step-children, Jim Sapp and John Sapp, Fl, and Flora Gray and husband Spike, Thornton; step grandchildren and great grandchildren, Shawn Sapp, Chris Sapp, Hailee Sapp, Harry Sapp, Stacy Russell, John Paul Shank, Brandy Russell, Travis Sapp, Parker Lealan, Remington Sapp, Samantha Sapp, Levi Smallwood, Lakyn Smallwood, Nathan Weese, and Tia Weese. And many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Austin, Rose Mary Shahan, Judy McClain; companion, Nancy Sapp; one grandson, Brandon Sapp; step-son, Isaac Sapp; two step-daughters, Tracy Bates, Nancy Ann(Annie) Burdett.
