John “Jack” Edward Clements, 88, passed away on August 13, 2021, after a long illness. He was a resident of Morningstar Senior Care, Parker, Colorado. John was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 2, 1933, to George Albert Clements and Agnes Elizabeth (Schatz) Clements. He grew up in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, graduating from Central High School in 1951. Jack served his country in the U.S. Army in Tokyo, Japan during the Korean conflict. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1956, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
He was the Assistant Public Relations manager for Holland America cruise line In New York City. After leaving Holland America, he joined the faculty of the College of Westchester as an associate professor in White Plains, New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Clements. Surviving are his wife Mary; son David and his wife Lindsay of Aurora, Colorado; granddaughters, Emilie and Erin Clements; step granddaughter, Avery Echols all of the home; brother, Charlie and his wife Pat of St. Louis, Missouri; five nieces and nephews; and one grandniece.
Jack will be buried with military honors on September 6, at 11:00 a.m.
