John E. Evans, 54, Anderson, passed away October 13, 2011 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1957 in Anderson, and lived in the Anderson and Alexandria area most of his life. A graduate of Anderson High School, he retired from R & L Transfer.
John attended Second Chance Baptist Church and was a sound engineer there. He was also a big Colts and Pacers fan.
Survivors include his sons, Ryne Evans girlfriend, Cathy Taylor of Anderson, Christopher Evans boyfriend, Dylan Dockery of Noblesville, & Jason Ripperdan girlfriend, Melissa Geiger of Florida; siblings, Tom Evans, Bobby Evans Susan, Don Evans Kim, and Schlonda Moore Derrick all of Anderson; mother of his children, Karen Evans of Alexandria; grandson, Skyler Ripperdan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob & Patricia Watson Evans and a brother, Mike Evans.
