John E. Emley, Jr., 86, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020, at his residence in Huntington.
John was born on December 16, 1933, in Huntington, IN, to John E. and Dorothy (Schmidt) Emley, Sr.
His parents preceded him in death. John married Lecie F. Pasko on May 30, 1970. She survives and resides in Huntington.
John attended Huntington Township High School and retired from Huntington Laboratories after 38 years of service. He formerly owned a gas station on West Park Drive and had worked at Schacht Rubber and Hoppy’s Oil. John attended Huntington First Church of the Nazarene for many years and was a former member of the Moose Lodge #837.
Along with his wife, Lecie, John is survived by two sons, John Michael Emley, LaFontaine, IN, Jimmy (Cindy) Emley, Huntington, IN; three daughters, Candy King, Hot Springs, AR, Carrie (Bobby) Latham, Vicksburg, MS, Jennifer (Chris) Newton, Huntington, IN; grandchildren, Taylor Dowe, Dalton Emley, Aime Dowe, Haley Newton, Ella Newton, Zachary Newton; and 10 other grand and great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Shawn David Emley; and one sister, Betty Jean Huffman.
