SHERIDAN, John Dobbs
62, passed away on 13 October, 2020 at Porter Hospital, Denver, Colorado after complications from existing health conditions.
John was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1957, and was raised in Bridgeton, the eldest of three siblings. In 1971, his parents John (aka Kirk) and Mary emigrated with their three children to the USA and settled in Littleton, Colorado.
Prior to settling in Littleton, the family lived in both Englewood and downtown Denver where John attended both Englewood and West High School as a young teenager.
John’s career spanned many years with Rickenbaugh Cadillac Volvo in metro Denver and he retired in 2017. From a very young age he showed a natural talent and interest in cars and cultivated a wealth of knowledge. This love and interest continued into adulthood and he became a car body painter and performed a variety of jobs involving cars and their repair throughout his life.
John also had a keen interest in the outdoors and regularly could be found taking his four wheel drive off-road into the Rocky Mountains. The Colorado Rockies are an off-road driver’s dream and John loved to explore the challenging trails with the incredible views that the state of Colorado has to offer.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey; sister Karen Sheridan and brother Scott.
John was preceded in death by his parents John Dobbs Sheridan Sr. and Mary MacMillan Dicks Sheridan.
