John DiModugno, age 90, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on July 27, 2019. He was born March 29, 1929, to Rocco DiModugno and Consiglia DeBiase in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He graduated from Scarsdale High School and Upper Iowa University. For approximately 22 years, he was the Director of Activities for Cardinal McCloskey Group Home in Ossining, NY. John came to Port St. Lucie, Florida in the late 1990s with his wife Lorraine.
John had a quick-witted sense of humor, an infectious smile, and a giving personality. He had a love of all sports and enjoyed both watching and playing. He played on the Savanah Club softball team well into his 70s. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted father and husband and had a way of making everyone feel welcome.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine DiModugno; daughters, Brenda DiModugno (Rich Exley) and Karen Taylor (TJ Taylor); grandchildren, Jack and Benjamin; brother, Nick Modugno; and sister, Lucy Mercer.
John will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
