John David Tate, 68 of Ringgold died Saturday, May 12, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Knox Tate, Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Spence Tate, and his daughter, Patricia Ann Nelson. He was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Simone Haton Tate, Ringgold; daughter, Catherine Tate Curtis, Rossville; grandchildren, James Clinton Curtis, Jared Craig Nelson, and Natalie Erin Nelson; brother, James Tate, Ringgold; aunts, Lucille Spence, Ringgold, Betty Madewell, Athens, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
