Leominster – John D. Mazzaferro, 75, of Leominster, died July 24, 2014, in his home, after an illness. He was born May 19, 1939, in Leominster, son of the late, Romeo A. and Lillian (Montesion) Mazzaferro. John served in the U,S, Army from 1962 to 1964, then transferred to the Army Reserves until 1968. He received the Good Conduct Medal, 1st Class Gunner (SMG), Sharpshooter (Pistol) Expert (90mmTank Gun) Marksman (Rifle). Mr. Mazzaferro was a self-employed General Contractor, Back Hoe Operator and Landscaper. He was a member of St. Anna’s Parish, The Franco-American Veterans and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 477.
He is survived by one brother, James Mazzaferro of Fitchburg, his Uncle, Aldo Mazzaferro and his wife Anna of Leominster, his Aunt, Eva LeBlanc of Leominster, a niece, Dina J. Mazzaferro of Winter Park, Florida, a nephew Evan J. Mazzaferro of Fitchburg, along with cousins and many firends.
