John D Kiser, 94, of 7321 Riverside Rd., Seagrove, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. God and family were always the priorities of his life.
John D was a native of Randolph County and a graduate of Bennett High School. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church, where he served as a sunday school teacher, a trustee, and a deacon for several years. John D was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. After the war, he returned home and enjoyed farming for many years before going to work at Burlington Industries in Ramseur as a product inspector. John D also provided for his family by preparing income tax in his home. After his retirement he enjoyed taking care of his cows and using technology skills on his computer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Collie and Alberta Hayes Kiser, sister, Jane Gatlin.
Survivors: wife of 72 years, Emogene Kiser, of the residence, daughters, Dianne Stutts, and husband, Charlie, of Kingman, AZ, Darlene Dale, and husband, Malcolm, of Fayetteville, Lisa Lovin, and husband, Tim, of Asheboro, sisters, Ruth Scott, of Seagrove, Donzy O’Dell, of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Jeremy Stutts, Samantha Lovin, Jonathan Lovin, and several nieces and nephews.
