John D. Evans, 70, of Clinton, died Monday, September 28, 2015 at his home surrounded by his wife and children after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
John was known by many names, Dad, Pops, Grandpa, PePaw, GPaps, Uncle Dan, Danny, and many more. He was a loving, kind, and gentle man. He was a shining example of what a father, husband, grandfather, and friend should be. He touched many lives throughout his journey.
Ones who will miss him the most are his wife of 45 years, MaryAnn Summers; his four children, Donald and Marissa Evans of Broomfield, CO., Daniel and Kim Evans of Clinton, LeAnn and Norm Minnick of Brownsburg, and Desa and Doug Curry of Clinton along with his eight wonderful grandchildren, Joel Evans, Kara Evans, Miranda Minnick, Nathan Evans, Dustin Minnick, Ezra Curry, Zachary Evans, and Evan Curry. Also missing him will be his brother Don and Sue Evans of Sarasota, FL.; his sister, Mary Margaret and Ed Hess of Chrisman, IL.; his aunts, Delores and Andy Poloney and Margaret Judy, both of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
