John Christian Kaufmann, Jr., 82, of Fort Pierce FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
He was born in Englewood NJ on October 18, 1938, and was the only child of John Christian Kaufmann, Sr., and Catherine Gourlay Kaufmann.
John became the first Eagle Scout of Troop 105 in 1953, Little Ferry NJ, served in the US Airforce from 1956 until 1960 and was a member of the UAW. He was an active member of the Catholic Church, serving in many ways including as a Eucharist minister.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alida Bassant Kaufmann, four children, Keith John Kaufmann of Ocala FL, Denise Hernandez of Port St. Lucie FL, Eric Roger Kaufmann of Little Rock AR, and Nicole Danielle Kaufmann of Fort Pierce FL, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
